Being a member means joining a national movement that seeks to shape the future of Artificial Intelligence in Mozambique — with knowledge, ethics and participation. Open to everyone, from the ordinary citizen to companies.

Membership does not depend on payment

Application and admission are completed without payment. Once approved, the new member has 30 days to begin paying membership fees, following AMIA's instructions.

Read these conditions and the fee table. Then choose your category and submit your application.

Who can be a member

Any individual or company that accepts the association's statutes and identifies with its objectives may apply to AMIA — from the ordinary citizen to the AI professional, from the student to the company. Membership is open to every province and every sector, and does not depend on a technology background. Universities, public institutions and civil-society organisations join AMIA through an institutional partnership agreement.

How to join

Applications are made on this platform, without paper: choose the category, complete the form for that category and upload the scanned documents. The member code is issued at that moment and sent by e-mail. AMIA checks the documents, reviews and approves; until then the application is “in progress” and the applicant follows each step on the Members page with the code.

Personal data

The data collected is used to manage membership and to communicate with the member. It is neither sold nor passed on to third parties. ID card (BI), NUIT, date of birth, telephone numbers and documents are never published and are seen only by expressly authorised administrators, with an audit trail. Public directories show only what the member authorises. Members may request the correction or deletion of their data at any time.

Monthly amounts in meticais by category. Payment begins within 30 days after membership approval. The Partner Company fee includes a monthly advertising slot.

Individual Member

Any citizen interested in Artificial Intelligence, digital transformation and AMIA's activities — no qualification or training required.

Students in secondary, technical-vocational, undergraduate, master's, doctoral and other recognised education.

Professional Member

Professionals, specialists, technicians, researchers, consultants, managers, engineers and practitioners in data, technology or fields that use or study AI.

AMIA Associate Company

Companies in the technology and innovation ecosystem: AI, software, data, automation, robotics, cybersecurity, cloud, digital transformation, machine learning, research and technology consulting.

Activity with a demonstrable link to technology, AI, innovation or digital transformation.

EMP

AMIA Partner Company

Companies and organisations from any relevant sector — banking, telecommunications, energy, industry, insurance, health, agriculture, logistics, retail, multinationals, private universities.

Membership rules

  1. 01Individuals upload a passport-style photograph, ID card (BI) and NUIT card; students add their student card. Companies upload their business licence (alvará), NUEL and NUIT. The application is approved only after AMIA has checked the documents; corrections or additional documentation may be requested.
  2. 02Companies have their own institutional benefits, distinct from individual ones. The Associate Company is listed in the Companies Directory and responds to Innovation Challenges; the Partner Company automatically becomes an AMIA partner, presents challenges to the ecosystem and has a monthly advertising slot, with campaigns subject to approval by the association.
  3. 03There is no honorary category. The association's honours are reserved for sponsors and donors, with public mention of the support given (see the Support page).
  4. 04Membership is personal and non-transferable. For companies, the nominated representatives may be replaced by written notice.
  5. 05AMIA may suspend or cancel membership for breach of the statutes, giving the member a reasoned notice.
  6. 06A member may withdraw at any time by giving written notice.
  7. 07Payment is not a condition of admission. Once approved, the new member has 30 days to begin paying membership fees.
  8. 08Membership fees may be revised by the governing bodies, with prior notice to members.

Application

Completing the form does not make anyone a member

The application is submitted, the documents are checked, the board reviews it, requests corrections where necessary and approves it. Only then does the person or company become an active member — and appear in the directories, if they have authorised it. With your code you can follow each step on the Members page.
